This young man had classic zone 1 gynecomastia. I would consider his appearance the most common presentation of gynecomastia to the Austin Gynecomastia Center. He is young and has good skin quality so my concerns for him are less as good skin makes my job easy. You can appreciate that after he had gynecomastia surgery, he no longer has the appearance of female like breasts, his areolas are darker and smaller and the masculine definition of his chest is evident.
After treatment at the Austin Gynecomastia Center, the result you obtain is very dependent on your underlying anatomy. I remove all the gynecomastia tissue and contour your chest as needed so I obtain the best contour. Again, the quality of your skin often dictates exactly how well you do with treatment. The recovery also impacts your result as well—how you inherently heal makes it a lot smoother if you don’t develop hematoma, seroma or scar tissue. My focus with patients is often making sure they have realistic expectations with regards to results based on my analysis and to educate them on the recovery period which is important for a quality result.
