“Stuck-On” Breasts

“Stuck-on” breasts occurs for various reasons, the three most common being the following:

  1. Subglandular placement of implants, especially in those women with small breasts.
  2. Breast implant contracture, which makes the implant more “ball like” and less natural in shape.
  3. Small implants on a woman with a wider chest. The implants aren’t large enough to appear natural and they look like they are door knobs.

Notice in this picture of a patient who had a previous breast augmentation that her breasts appear more rounded and unnatural than they should. She also has asymmetry of the nipple-areola complexes (somewhat cock-eyed in appearance).
