“Stuck-On” Breasts

“Stuck-on” breasts occurs for various reasons, the three most common being the following:
- Subglandular placement of implants, especially in those women with small breasts.
- Breast implant contracture, which makes the implant more “ball like” and less natural in shape.
- Small implants on a woman with a wider chest. The implants aren’t large enough to appear natural and they look like they are door knobs.
Notice in this picture of a patient who had a previous breast augmentation that her breasts appear more rounded and unnatural than they should. She also has asymmetry of the nipple-areola complexes (somewhat cock-eyed in appearance).
