This young man presented to the AGC with gynecomastia on both sides that bothered him quite a lot. You see him here about five months after my standard gynecomastia surgery treatment. I almost didn’t recognize him when I walked in his room. He lost thirty pounds and cut his hair really short. I’m not sure that this change is solely from his gynecomastia treatment but he tells me it is.
He feels a lot better about his general state of life but he tells me that he wasn’t able to go from a 10/10 to a 0/10. It still exists in his head and he was only able to make a 1/10. That’s not bad at all, but it’s not a home run.
He looks amazing, especially when you consider my surgery and his weight loss. He makes me look good.
I completely understand that gynecomastia is all about the mental thing. My efforts have always been to educate the public on this condition and to offer my services in terms of treatment. I feel comfortable about my ability to treat my patients with my surgical skill, much less so when it comes to therapy for the mind.
I have teamed up with the University of Texas and we will be researching the mental aspects of gynecomastia. I hope this will have an impact on the future of gynecomastia treatment – body AND mind. I’ll keep you posted.
