Patient Details

This is a 48 year old woman who is 5’2” and 150 pounds interested in liposuction. Her skin is of fair to good quality.

She is seen here after a 4500cc liposuction of her trunk and extremities. She has done well. Her weight is down, she is more curvy and her skin has retracted quite well considering her age.

Lessons to learn:

1. Liposuction is liposuction. Perform an excellent contouring in a patient with good skin and you get a good result.
2. Liposuction without anesthesia is painful to say the least.
3. All liposuctions remove and contour fat. Choose a surgeon who is expert at getting the nice results.
4. Large liposuction volumes are only to be performed by an expert for your safety.
5. Don’t have liposuction performed at the Mall.
6. Liposuction is real surgery and needs to be given the attention that it needs from a board certified plastic surgeon. Nothing less is good for you.
7. If you want minimal to no results from liposuction don’t get any or choose a technique that removes the fat without surgery.
