This patient is seen here about 3 months (early) after a breast enhancement and a full abdominoplasty and liposuction after a very significant weight loss – 80 pounds. That left her with loose skin and very deflated breasts.
We discussed alternatives. Her breasts are challenging because there is significant laxity of the skin, the breasts themselves are somewhat tubular and the shape of her breasts are not as she likes. Does she need a lift to tighten the skin? Do I need to do a lift to reshape the areolas? What is best to give her the improvement she wants? In her case I recommended that she set the “foundation” of her breasts with an appropriately sized breast implant. In her case the shape we achieved is tremendous givin what I had to work with. She is very pleased and doesn’t want any other procedures to her breasts. It is imperative in her case that she maintain her breasts “up and in” with an excellent support bra so her breasts look the same decades down the line.
Her body and abdomen was served well with a standard abdominoplasty and some liposuction of the abdomen and flanks. The combination of all three of these procedures (all parts of a mommy makeover) has resulted in the improvement that you can clearly see.
For the record, her results are not “perfect” but I can tell you that her results are perfectly amazing compared to what we started off with and she and her husband couldn’t be happier with their results. Think about her being 80 pounds heavier and feeling not particularly attractive and how she must feel now with the improvements we were able to achieve safely and reliably. It’s one thing if you had a nice body that went south with time and kids, it’s another to make these changes on someone who NEVER had the luxury of having a body they felt good about.
