Dr. Robert Caridi, MD FACS
Dr. Caridi is the owner and founder of Westlake Plastic Surgery and the Austin Gynecomastia Center. He has practiced plastic surgery for over 30 years and is considered a senior surgeon. At this juncture in his career, he practices only cosmetic plastic surgery with a focus on senior level procedures including rhinoplasty (nose job), gynecomastia surgery, breast lift with implants and mommy makeover.
Dr. Caridi has an international practice with patients who seek his services from all over the world. His frank and honest approach with patients is refreshing and current. Dr. James Wilson, MD
Dr. James Wilson, MD
Dr. James Wilson is Westlake Plastic Surgery’s board certified anesthesiologist. Dr. Wilson graduated from high school in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He completed his undergraduate education at Baylor University from 1976 to 1980, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Dr. Wilson attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston from 1980 to 1984, where he earned his medical degree. He completed his anesthesia residency at The University of Mississippi.
After teaching at Ole Miss, Dr. Wilson took his first private practice job in Athens, Georgia, where he held the position of Director of Cardiac Anesthesia for eleven years. He left that position to cofound a new anesthesia group in Asheboro, North Carolina. In 2012, Dr. Wilson returned to Texas to serve as Director of Anesthesia and Medical Director of the Operating Rooms at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights. Dr. Wilson met Dr. Caridi in 2015 and eagerly accepted his invitation to join him at Westlake Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Wilson is honored to provide the highest quality anesthesia for all surgical patients and serves as Facility Director for the Operating Room.
Lacy Stewart, RN, CNOR, RNFA and Cosmetic Nurse Injector
Lacy Stewart, Registered Nurse, is a native Texan who came to us from Wichita Falls. Lacy attended Midwestern State University where she pursued a degree in psychology. It was on this pursuit that she realized her true passion: nursing. She went on to receive her nursing degree at Vernon College. She is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Since her start with us over 10 years ago she has pursued advanced training as a RNFA (registered nurse first assist) and has received her CNOR certification. Lacy has honed her skills to a high level under the mentoring of Dr. Caridi, and she serves as the chief nurse at WPS. She is responsible for the clinical operations of the office and can be found in surgery, in the recovery room, and caring for patients during office hours.
Lacy is also an aesthetic nurse injector and performs neurotoxin injections, dermal fillers and micro needling.
Lacy has a Texas-friendly personality and our patients warm up to her immediately as she assists them in each area of the Westlake Plastic Surgery experience. She
possesses an easy smile, a warm personality, and a sensitivity to the needs of our patients. She has developed into a first-rate plastic surgery nurse who will never forget the primary role of all nurses — to take wonderful care of their patients.
Maria Noonan, RN
Maria Noonan, Registered Nurse, is a true Austinite who grew up in the hills of Westlake. It was Maria’s lifelong dream to become a nurse. Maria fulfilled that dream when she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Maria is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She enjoys caring for patients at each stage of the surgical process, from pre-operative and post-operative and from consultations to the recovery room.
Maria enjoys working with our patients and has a passion for providing quality, patient-centered nursing care. You will always see her with a smile on her face. Maria is one of five kids. In her free time, she enjoys running the town lake trail, listening and dancing to music, and spending time with her family and friends.
Ana Webster, MA
Ana Webster, Medical Assistant, has been part of the Westlake Plastic Surgery family since 2009. Ana earned her certification as a Medical Assistant from Southern Careers Institute. She is responsible for maintaining the integrity of asepsis in the operating room, cross-trained to assist in the recovery room, and involved in direct patient care during consultations and follow-up appointments. Ana strives to deliver quality care and prides herself on providing a warm environment for both our English and Spanish-speaking patients. If you were to ask any of our staff here at WPS, we’d say that Ana is an integral part of our team and has proven herself time and time again to be an important asset.
Ana grew up in Mexico City and at a young age made her way to Austin. She is now a true Texan at heart. When she is not at work, Ana loves to spend time with her family, whether at soccer practice or relaxing at home.
Cherri Hill joined the Westlake Plastic Surgery team 13 years ago, bringing along many years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is the “mama bear” of the practice and oversees all aspects of our front-end operations. An avid Longhorn fan, she attended the University of Texas in Austin along with Dr. Caridi, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in social work.
Growing up in a military family has made it easy for her to form relationships with patients from all walks of life. Cherri truly cares for our patients and wants you to feel like family while she assists you throughout your journey. She is the person you will speak with when you decide to schedule a procedure. Her goal is to educate and support you throughout the process. She is passionate about hospitality and committed to caring for your needs. Cherri has deep roots in and much love for the hill country of Central Texas. She enriches her life with travel, family, friends, and — of course — her cats.
Rebecca Maitlen, RN
Rebecca Maitlen, Registered Nurse, is a native Texan who came to us from Wichita Falls. Rebecca attended Vernon College and Texas State Technical College where she received her nursing degree. She holds certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Rebecca has worked in rehab nursing as well as Alzheimer’s and dementia care. She assists in all aspects of our office, including consultations, circulating in the OR, and assisting in the recovery process from start to finish. Rebecca has never met a stranger. Her kind friendly personality makes her a huge asset to our team. She enjoys working with patients from all walks of life and getting to know them.
When she’s not helping patients, Rebecca loves spending time with her husband and family. Rebecca enjoys anything outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and photography. She is a true adventurer at heart.
Michelle Contreras, MA
Michelle Contreras, Medical Assistant, originally joined the Westlake Plastic Surgery team in 2009 and recently returned after spending four years at home with her daughter. Michelle has 12 years of experience in both plastic surgery and dermatology. In 2005, Michelle received her Medical Assistant Certification at the 49er ROP program in Auburn, California. As a Medical Assistant and Patient Coordinator, she is versatile in the back and front office. Michelle enjoys helping patients navigate through their surgical journey from start to finish. Michelle is known for being compassionate, gentle, calm, and kind-hearted.
Michelle loves spending time with her husband of 23 years, along with their three sons and one daughter. She enjoys cooking, gardening, and watching good romcoms.
Xavier Acuña, CNA
Xavier Acuña, Certified Nursing Assistant, is a native Austinite who joined our Westlake Plastic Surgery family in July of 2018. Xavier attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Xavier is a Certified Nursing Assistant and is certified in Basic Life Support. He comes with over a decade of experience working in the healthcare field and is a jack-of-all-trades in the office. Xavier is one of our Patient Coordinators and oversees all aspects of our front-end operations. He has also been personally cross-trained by Dr. Caridi to conduct post-op appointments, help in surgery, and maintain the asepsis of the operating room. Xavier wears many hats on any given day.
Xavier is currently working on his long-term goals and striving toward entering nursing school to further his healthcare experience. When he is not at work or in classes, Xavier loves to play video games, explore the outdoors, and spend time with family and friends.
