Patient Details
This is a 20 year old woman who is 5’2″ and 120 pounds who was interested in a breast augmentation. She had asymmetrical breasts in size and shape. Her breasts are also saggy to some degree.
She is seen here after a breast augmentation with smooth high profile implants, 375cc on the right and 350cc on the left. Her breasts are soft and fuller. She still has some sagginess to her breasts as we anticipated. She told me that her GYN doctor told her that she didn’t even know that she had implants!
Learning points:
- She wasn’t interested in a breast lift, and certainly knew that she can have one down the line if this is what she wanted. Her implants are large enough to give her a significant improvement but not large enough to help with the total lift. The implants needed for this would be so huge it wouldn’t be something I would recommend.
- She is young and didn’t want the scars. She also knew that her breasts would change after pregnancy and with time. She will probably wait until she has kids to lift her breasts.
- She didn’t have a problem with the size of her areolas, so making them smaller as would be seen in a lifting procedure wasn’t necessary.
- Breasts are personal. If you are happy with the result of my work I am happy. The outcome doesn’t need to be perfect or ideal. The outcome needs to make you happy.
