Breast Revision Gallery Plastic Surgery in Austin | Patient 52

Patient Details

This is a 37 year old mother of two who is 5’2″ and 110 pounds who had three previous breast procedures. The first two involved an augmentation with implants and the last was a mastopexy or breast lift. She was left with a contracted left breast that was painful and distorted and she says her breasts are too large and heavy.

She is seen here after a bilateral breast revision with the use of 375cc high profile smooth walled silicone implants placed partially below the muscle. I removed the implant capsule that surrounded the contracted left implant and I used ADM (Acellular Dermal Matrix) to help in the repair of the contracted left breast. I revised her breast “lift” so that her nipple areola complexes are more symmetrical. You can see that the one on the left is looking off to the side. I couldn’t get the muscle to cover the upper half of the implants because it was so retracted after the previous surgeries.

She is really happy now that her left breast is no longer hard as a rock and that the shape is nice. I can see some areas of improvement (the lower part of her breasts are a bit long, and I can remove a wedge of skin and tissue and this will improve the shape significantly), but she is ok with her breasts. This kind woman spent a lot of time trying to find someone to fix her breasts and she was limited in terms of her finances. I worked with her because I felt I can really make a nice improvement. She feels sexy again and proud—this is a big deal.
