Patient Details
This patient had a history of having multiple surgeries performed on her breasts by other surgeons. Her last surgery was the placement of PIP implants (pre-filled saline implants), but her right implant had deflated. The fact that her right (deflated) breast had retracted nicely was evidence that her new implants will contract nicely as well (and not sag or need a lift).
In addition, the patient desired that her new breasts be smaller — she felt that the larger size breasts made her look fat. Also, she didn’t like the abundant superior fullness (she had 475cc implants). We performed a breast revision by replacing the large implants with 275cc implants. Although there are some asymmetries to her breasts, she is very pleased with her result especially considering the complexity of additional procedures that were needed.
