Patient Details
This is a 41 year old who is 5’7″ and 147 pounds who was interested in a breast enhancement. She has one child. She has ample breasts, and large breasts run in her family. She wants them “higher, tighter and perkier.” This means she is interested in the more advanced version of the breast lift with implants that I call the Breast Reduction with Augmentation (BRA).
Her breasts are large and ptotic and asymmetrical. The left one is considerable larger than the right and there is very dense breast tissue palpable especially along the lateral aspects of her breasts. Her breasts make her look heavier and more matronly than she would prefer.
She is seen here after a bilateral BRA procedure done through a vertical approach with a final lollipop shaped scar. I used 300cc smooth high profile silicone implants placed beneath the muscle and I reduced 354 grams of tissue on the left and 206 grams on the right side. I also performed a fair amount of liposuction on her trunk as well (this contributes to the different appearance of her breasts relative to her body).
Her pictures speak for themselves. There is a BIG difference and her breasts are not perfectly symmetrical. They happen to be, in my opinion, some of the largest and most perky breasts that I have ever created. I attribute this result, in large part, to the fact that she wears a fantastic bra to keep her breasts up and supported.
She had two “complaints or concerns”. The first was the appearance of her scars. I told her that she has some of the best scarring I have ever seen, and that they will only fade more with more time as she is only about 7 months from her procedure. Second, she asked me if there was something we should do to her left breast that was a bit lower than the right. She only noticed this after I sent her the before and after pictures. I told her that her breasts are is good as it gets and that she needs nothing more.
I’m proud of this result because it’s not easy to perform this procedure and to obtain such a shapely larger breast is uncommon. I would tell you that her result is not just my skill and efforts, it’s the quality of her skin and tissues and the fact that she wears a great bra that molded the shape after her surgery, and now maintains the shape and position of her breasts.
