Patient Details
This is a 43 year old woman who is an extreme weight loss patient (90 pounds). She is 5’9″ and 201 pounds. She presented to me for general body and breast work because her weight loss resulted in loose skin throughout. I focus on the breasts here.
Her breasts are maximally deflated, “pancake like,” and quite asymmetrical. Her breast skin is very lax and the breast tissue is of poor quality (as you would expect). We discussed the various options and she elected for a Breast Reduction with Augmentation (BRA) procedure – the more advanced version of a breast lift with implants.
She is seen here after a removal of around 50 grams of breast tissue and an augmentation with 325cc silicone implants placed below the muscle. A vertical “lift” was performed at the same time. I thought that I was going to have to remove the skin along the lateral breasts, but was impressed with how the implant and skin tightening corrected this area while in the operating room.
She is seen here TWO years after her surgery. This is a remarkable result by any standard. Her breasts are not only “better,” but quite frankly, they are also actually very “attractive.” She has been “religious” about wearing an appropriate bra day and night for support.
