Patient Details
This patient is about two months out from her rhinoplasty. She was young, with a nose that was generous in size — particularly on frontal view — and tip cartilages that pointed upward rather than out to the sides. The shape change you see here comes from reducing the height of her nasal dorsum, narrowing her nasal bones through infracture, and refining her tip cartilages.
Put together, these maneuvers gave her a smaller, more balanced, and cuter nose. To call this a transformation for her would be an understatement. When I asked how long it took before the nose felt like "hers," she told me two weeks. That's typical — there's always an adjustment period after rhinoplasty as patients incorporate their new nose and make it their own. Her result will continue to refine over the coming year as the remaining swelling resolves.
I happen to know this patient struggled with her nose for many years. Seeing her transformation has been nothing short of pure joy — for both of us, I imagine.
