Patient Details
This is a 65 year old woman who is 5’3” and 163 pounds interested in a breast reduction. She says that they are simply too large and heavy for her.
She is seen here about seven months after a breast reduction involving 500 gram tissue reduction of both breasts as well as liposuction of the breasts for the removal of another 450cc of fat. It was an inferior pedicle reduction with the final scars shaped like an anchor.
She is pleased. She is healing relatively well. It’s early for her scars, so they will continue to soften and look better over the coming two years. She wears a very supportive bra. She says she feels much “lighter” and nimble and is no longer hindered by her large breasts. The liposuction was performed to reduce fullness in the underarm area that is often exaggerated in appearance after the breasts are smaller.
