This patient had a previous breast augmentation with 325cc smooth walled moderate profile silicone breasts implants and after living with them for several years she decided she wanted smaller. The usual reasons include a “matronly” look and difficulty with clothing. In many cases weight gain contributes to too much overall mass in the chest area.
We changed out her existing implants for a high profile 225cc with a pocket adjustment. You can appreciate the not so subtle difference particular in the oblique and the side view. She is very happy with her choice.
Contrary to popular belief, when I am asked to change out implants for size issues it is generally for smaller breast implants. It’s becoming more common for women to revise their breasts during their lifetime in order to accommodate body and lifestyle changes that occur as they age.
