This case illustrates a breast lift and breast implant combination. After two children, this woman’s breasts deflated and lost superior fullness. She is seen here after a breast lift / reduction and 415cc high profile silicone implants placed beneath the muscle. Her scars have healed well and she enjoys good symmetry.
The reduction part of the procedure is to remove the saggy breast tissue as it can’t be “lifted” no matter what the procedure. If you don’t want the breast tissue to sag again it needs to be removed. The implant is to “add” to the breast and the reduction is to “subtract” from the breast. The balance of the two determines the new breast size and shape.
