Patient Details

This is a 39 year old mother of one who is 5’3″ and 140 pounds and was interested in a breast enhancement. She was very self-conscious about her breasts and wanted to cover them with her hands while she was being examined. Her posture was poor because she was trying to hide her breasts.

She had sagging of her breasts and asymmetry. She had very dense breast tissue. Given the options, she wanted the more advanced version of the breast lift with implants I call the Breast Reduction with Augmentation (BRA). She is seen here two years after a BRA procedure with a reduction of 50 grams on the right and 80 grams on the larger left side and the placement of 200cc moderate profile silicone implants beneath the muscle.

She also has lost TWENTY pounds by doing spinning. Her breasts are doing quite well and the scarring is almost invisible. There is a tremendous difference pre and post-operative which you can appreciate.

The basic premise of the BRA procedure is twofold: First, a breast implant is needed any time you are interested in superior breast fullness. Second, by reducing hanging breast tissue, it will not be present to sag in the future.

I believe this allows for optimal breast shape and the potential for less sagging recurrence in the future. This is, however, not proven to date.
