Gynecomastia Surgery

Before And After Photos

This is a 36 year old who is 6’3″ and 200 pounds who lost almost 85 pounds over the past five years or so. He had some lose skin of the chest and trunk area. We discussed issues and options at length. Instead of removing tissue with resulting scars, I recommended he consider a first stage liposuction of his chest and trunk. I believe that his skin will retract well, and if he feels that the skin is too loose or wrinkled he can always then choose to have the skin removed. He is seen here about one year after a gynecomastia surgery procedure with liposuction of his chest and abdomen and posterior flanks. His skin has retracted well and the contour is quite nice.

“Do you want to have your skin removed?”

“No way! I think it looks good!”

So there you have it. In many cases liposuction alone can enhance the contour of the chest and trunk without excisional procedures. It works best in younger patients with relatively good skin. It may not be “perfect”, but it’s certainly “perfectly good!”
