Dr. Robert Caridi
Dr. Robert Caridi Dr. Robert Caridi is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He attended John Dewey High School in Brooklyn, New York. He began his undergraduate training in 1976 at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He transferred to The University of Texas at Austin in 1979 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1981. Dr. Robert Caridi attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 1981 to 1985, where he earning his medical degree.

After medical school, Dr. Caridi did a three year general surgery internship, a three year plastic surgery residency, and a one year plastic surgery fellowship at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Caridi administered medicine and surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and completed rotations at the affiliates: Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY; The Bronx Veterans Administration Medical Center, Bronx, NY; The City Hospital Center at Elmhurst, Queens, NY; and The Westchester County Medical Center Burn Unit, Valhalla, NY.

Dr. Caridi began private practice with a plastic surgery group in the Chicago suburbs where he remained for 8 years. In 2000, Dr. Caridi and his family relocated to Austin, Texas, and founded Westlake Plastic Surgery. Dr. Caridi has been performing surgery for 20 years. He has specialized in cosmetic plastic surgery for the past 15 years.

Dr. Diane Boysen
Dr. Diane Boysen is Westlake Plastic Surgery’s board certified anesthesiologist. Dr. Diane Boysen graduated from high school in Tampa, Florida. Her undergraduate education began at University of South Florida, and continued at the University of Houston. Dr. Diane Boysen earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio in 1983.

Dr. Boysen interned in General Surgery and Pediatrics, eventually completing a Pediatric Residency at University Hospital in San Antonio. Upon completion of a residency in pediatrics, she began an anesthesia residency program, preparing for a career in Pediatric Anesthesia. After teaching anesthesia residents, Dr. Boysen began private practice in a San Marcos, Texas, anesthesia practice providing direct patient care. She was Chief of Anesthesia for four of the eight years she practiced in San Marcos.

In 1997, Dr. Boysen became Medical Director and Anesthesia Provider for an Outpatient Surgery Center in South Austin, Texas. She met Dr. Caridi in the summer of 2000. Dr. Boysen currently serves as Facility Director of the Westlake Plastic Surgery Operating Room and provides anesthesia for all surgical patients. Dr. Boysen has been trained in administering Botox and Restylane injections, Laser Treatments (hair removal and skin resurfacing), and Spider Vein Therapy. In addition, Dr. Boysen became a Certified Micropigmentologist in 2001, offering safe and comfortable Permanent Make-up services.

Robin Mitchell
Robin Mitchell, RN, is from Hope, Arkansas. Robin attended the University of Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, Arkansas, where she received her nursing degree. After becoming a Registered Nurse, Robin worked in surgery at Medical Park Hospital in Hope, and later was the school health coordinator for the Hope Public School District for ten years. She has two daughters attending college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Robin moved to Austin in the summer of 2005 and worked in an outpatient surgery center and began working for Dr. Caridi in the spring of 2006.

She follows each patient from initial consultation through the entire surgical and post-operative period. Robin, along with the entire staff of Westlake Plastic Surgery, is honored to give each patient individualized and personal attention.

Becky Czapski
Becky Czapski, RN, BSN, CNOR, RNFA has 17 years experience in the operating room with extensive experience in plastics, cardiovascular, orthopedics and ophthalmology. She is also certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support. Becky received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arizona in l982. She relocated to Austin in 1995 with her husband and three children.

She previously worked at Seton Northwest Hospital in the OR and Oakwood Surgery Center where she met Dr. Caridi in 2000. Her interest in plastic surgery was heightened after going on several Austin Smiles Medical Missions to El Salvador to repair cleft palates and cleft lips. She started working at Westlake Plastic Surgery in January 2002 where she assists Dr. Caridi in surgery and enjoys caring for our patients through the whole perioperative period.

Bonnie Gilliam
Bonnie Gilliam joined the staff of Westlake Plastic Surgery in August 2008 as our licensed medical esthetician. Bonnie grew up in Southern California and attended the University of Southern California at Los Angeles. She was a fitness instructor for the USC Baseball Team and an assistant to the President of the University while pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree. She graduated from USC in 1985 and worked for a number of years in the field of business management. Bonnie met and married a Texas man and moved to the Lone Star State ten years ago. After having three children, Bonnie found herself turning toward a new career path in the health industry. She became a pre-med student at Austin Community College where she excelled in her studies. Her initial goal was to become a nurse, but along the way she acquired a keen interest in holistic medicine, learning methods to help naturally regenerate and restore the body. In Austin, Bonnie previously worked at Children’s Hospital of Austin as a CA in the Respiratory Unit and later moved on to the Austin International Health Center as a CCT and detox advisor. She chose to take her education one step further by returning to California to become an esthetician. She was trained at the International School of Beauty, and brings a comprehensive approach to skin rejuvenation. Bonnie's expertise and warm manner offers patients yet another way to enjoy and benefit from visiting Westlake Plastic Surgery.

Cherri Hill
Cherri Hill is the front office manager and patient coordinator at Westlake Plastic Surgery. She is a 1983 graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. Cherri comes to us with a background in medical office management. Growing up in a military family allowed Cherri to experience living in many places and learning about different cultures and people. She developed a friendly, open manner that is reassuring to patients who might feel nervous or uncertain. As the liaison between the front and back offices Cherri's voice will most likely answer your calls to Westlake Plastic Surgery. She will be your personal guide and contact making sure you have any information you need. Cherri will also help with your questions and concerns, coordinating a speedy response between patient and staff. Her gift for helping our patients feel comfortable and at ease makes her one of the most important members of our team.

Since 1981 Cherri has been an Austinite and avid Longhorns fan. She and her husband have been married for 26 years. They have three children all born and raised in Austin.

Dana Caridi
Dana Caridi Dana Caridi is an ING specialist, doing things that end in "ing". For Westlake Plastic Surgery, she performs jobs such as marketing, decorating, advertising, designing, painting, copy writing, hanging (things), fixing (good with power tools)… you get the idea! In addition, Dana is the voice for Westlake Plastic Surgery’s radio advertising campaign.

Dana attended the University of Wisconsin, double majoring in Fine Arts and Theatre Arts. She graduated from the Madison Area Technical College in 1982 with a degree in Commercial Art. Dana was employed as a graphic designer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until she moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting in 1986. Dana appeared on the daytime dramas, All My Children, Guiding Light and Ryan’s Hope.

Dana returned to graphic design as the Assistant Art Director at the national United Jewish Appeal in New York City from 1987 to 1992.

In October of 2005, Dana completed an interior design makeover of Westlake Plastic Surgery.
